Free SEO audit
Free SEO audit: paste a URL, read the verdict
A proper SEO audit shouldn’t start with a signup form. With PimpSEO you paste a page’s address, the engine visits it the way Google would, and a few minutes later you get a report scored across nine dimensions, with an action plan sorted by impact.
No credit card, no email gate. The report opens right on the page.
What the audit actually checks
Over 120 checks run against the page you submit. They cover nine dimensions, each scored out of 100:
On-page SEO. Title and meta description, heading structure, internal links, image alt attributes, Schema.org structured data. The fundamentals, verified one by one instead of guessed at.
Technical and crawlability. robots.txt, sitemap, canonicals, redirects, indexability across engines. A brilliant page that robots can’t read is worth nothing.
Performance. TTFB, page weight, blocking resources, and Core Web Vitals measured in the field through real Chrome usage data (the CrUX API) when the page has traffic: LCP, INP and CLS against Google’s official thresholds.
Security. HTTPS, HSTS, clickjacking protections, mixed content. Trust shows up in HTTP headers too.
GEO, your visibility in AI answers. This is the part most audit tools skip: can ChatGPT’s, Claude’s and Perplexity’s crawlers reach your site? Is the content structured in a way that gets quoted? Are E-E-A-T signals (a named author, dates, a clear entity) in place?
On top of those: UX/UI, accessibility, missing features (contact form, social proof, analytics…) and content. Every finding explains why it matters, how to fix it, and roughly how much effort the fix takes.
Why score Google, Bing and AI engines separately?
Because they don’t read your site the same way. Bing powers Yahoo, and it also feeds ChatGPT Search: a page missing from Bing’s index cannot show up in a ChatGPT answer. Meanwhile, AI Overviews sit above Google’s classic results, and Pew Research measured in July 2025 that clicks on organic results drop from 15% to 8% when an AI summary is present. Getting cited inside the answer now matters as much as ranking under it.
So the PimpSEO report scores each engine separately, using each engine’s own rules.
Who is this audit for?
Web agencies and freelancers first. The report is built to be shown to a client: justified findings, clear priorities, PDF, HTML and Markdown exports. Use it to scope a redesign quote, to prove the value of your work, or to check a site before handover.
Auditing your own site? You get the same analysis, and it will tell you honestly which fixes deserve your time and which don’t.
Free audit vs. Premium monitoring
The one-off audit is free, requires no account, and will stay that way. Premium (free trial, then €9.99 a month) adds the AI analysis layer, deeper security checks, and above all the monitoring side: read-only connections to Google Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools and Umami, a merged dashboard, and a stats report every morning that flags click drops, moving positions and pages with unusually low CTR.
In short: the audit tells you what to fix, the monitoring tells you whether it worked.
How to run your audit
- Head back to the home page.
- Paste the full URL of the page to analyze (including https://).
- Read the report, starting with the action plan; it’s already sorted by impact.
One practitioner’s tip: audit your home page first, then one page per important template (a product page, an article). Template-level problems get fixed once and propagate everywhere.
